Ever wonder how some of your favorite authors on deviantART get their inspiration? Maybe you'd like to learn some tips and tricks from them to apply to your own writing. To answer these perplexing questions, I've compiled a list of questions you can fill out yourself, pick one or two to ask some of your inspirations, among other things.
How long have you been writing? What made you start?
What is your favorite genre to write and why?
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Describe your favorite piece you've written in two paragraphs or less.
Is there particular music you listen to while you write?
What are your goals as a writer? Do you want to become published someday?
What is your advice to those who are starting their writing journey?
If you'd like more questions to be added, say them in the comments and I'll be sure to add them (with credits) to this journal.
Until next time!

Beware Of These Users
This journal will be updated and reused when a writer or commissioner violates our guidelines. You may view them on the front page, but the main one we will be paying special attention to is:
Bans will be given if anyone does the following: harasses, scams, steals, or rude to other members. If you have an issue with any of these things, please note us and we'll deal with it.
We will be giving the reasoning for the bans as well so you can make your own judgments. But friendly advice: if any of these users contact you, the best would be block and ignore.

Reasoning: Scammer and beyond rude to a potential commissioner.
For those looking to buy writing commissions...
...please be careful about who you shelf out money to.
Be cautious about blank / empty accounts in particular. The reasons we've added the rule to have at least one piece of writing submitted is to protect potential commissioners against those who would scam. (Plus, it was suggested by a kind deviant a while back who was looking out for you guys too.)
I was personally noted near the end of 2018 about a writer who was blatantly rude to a potential customer. The way they handled it was suspicious, especially since their account was (somewhat) new and completely blank. I noted this person to warn them about their actions in a polite way, to wh
Regarding Join Requests
Hey folks. I've noticed a lot of people not following the rules when it comes to submitting join requests. I will state it here so it's not as easily missed, because, to be honest, it's getting a little frustrating having to repeat myself over and over when the rules are right on our front page. x'DD;;
In order to join our group, in your join request, you must link your commission sheet AND one example of your writing (hosted on deviantART) to be accepted.
It's not good enough to say "oh, my links are on my page". You must link them in your join request.
Thank you for reading, and have a good day. c:
Small PSA!
Hey guys! c: Your founder here with a little PSA for our membership and watchers alike.
If you've been scammed by a member of this group, please send us a note. No matter how big or small they are, I want to protect this community and make it honest. Scammers and / or those who lie will not be tolerated. Even if you have a concern about a writer, again, send us a note.
As your founder, if someone is scammed or expresses concern, I personally will look into it and appropriate action will be taken.
Also: If you've been scammed by a writer who isn't a part of our community, I also ask you to note us! I, again, will look into it and block them

Hi, I'm an amateur writer and I'm interested in starting commissions, but I'm not entirely sure where to start or even how I can get people's attention
